Trade Republic Bank – Notes on Account Integration and Login (as of September 2025)


Trade Republic Bank offers a modern mobile banking and brokerage experience for private customers. Account management is exclusively via the Trade Republic app.


Login notes for the Trade Republic account:

  • Access is via the Trade Republic app using your registered mobile phone number and a personal PIN.
  • After entering your mobile number, you will receive a login code via SMS, which you enter for verification.
  • For additional security, two-factor authentication (2FA) can be activated.
  • After several failed attempts, access will be blocked for security reasons. Unblocking is possible via support.
  • If you have problems with your login credentials, you can use the “Forgot PIN?” function or contact support.


TAN and security procedures:

  • Transactions and sensitive actions are authorized within the app via PIN or biometric authentication (e.g., Face ID, fingerprint).
  • No traditional TAN lists or external TAN procedures are used.
  • Setup and management of security procedures are done directly in the app.


Security features:

  • Two-factor authentication is optional and can be activated in the app settings.
  • Trade Republic will never ask you for passwords or codes by email, phone, or SMS.


Note in case of problems with bank login via fino services:

  • Check if you are using the latest version of the Trade Republic app.
  • Ensure your login credentials (mobile number and PIN) are correct.
  • Verify that the app is functioning properly (e.g., internet connection, app updates).
  • Check if third-party provider (TPP) access is enabled in the app.
  • If the problem persists, have your login credentials and permissions checked by Trade Republic support.
